LaunchProof is a website and app testing service. You give us a web address, and we run automated checks on it and return a report. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Account information: your name and email address, which you give us when you sign up or when you sign in with Google or GitHub.
- Sign-in with Google or GitHub: if you choose this option, we receive only your name and email address, and we use them only to create and secure your account. We never receive your password, we do not read your contacts or files, and we do not post anything on your behalf.
- Testing data: the web addresses you submit for testing and the reports we produce, which can include screenshots of the pages tested.
- Technical data: a sign-in session cookie and standard server logs.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
- To run the tests you request and show you the results.
- To keep the service working and protect it from misuse.
Google user data
Information we receive from Google is used only to sign you in and identify your account. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared except as needed to operate the service or as required by law. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We rely on trusted infrastructure providers, such as our hosting provider, to run the service, and they handle data only on our behalf.
Storage and security
Passwords for email based accounts are stored only as salted hashes, never in plain text. Your data is held on our hosting provider's servers. We take reasonable steps to protect it, though no online service can be perfectly secure.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account and reports until you ask us to remove them. To delete your account or data, contact us at the address below.
Children
LaunchProof is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new date.
