Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about how LaunchProof works. Still stuck? Send us a message and we will help.
What is LaunchProof?
LaunchProof checks your website or app before you launch. You give it a web address and it runs real browsers on iPhone, Android and every major desktop browser, finds problems, and hands you one plain-English report with the exact fix for each issue.
What does a test check?
Every test looks for broken links, page errors, slow or heavy pages, layout problems on mobile and desktop, accessibility issues, and safe security checks such as exposed keys, insecure settings and known risky libraries.
Which devices and browsers does it use?
Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop, plus iPhone, Android phone and iPad. Each problem in your report is tagged with the device or browser it happens on.
How long does a test take?
It depends on the site, the number of pages, and how many browsers you choose. You can watch the progress live with a time estimate, and the report appears as soon as it finishes.
Do I need to own the site I test?
Yes. You should only test sites that you own or have clear permission to test. See our Terms for details.
Is it safe? Will it harm my site?
The tests are read-only, like a visitor browsing your pages. The security checks are passive and only look at what your site already shows publicly, so they do not change or damage anything.
Can it test pages behind a login?
Yes. When you start a test you can turn on "Sign in with a test account and check the members area too" and provide test credentials, so the signed-in pages get checked as well.
How do I sign in to LaunchProof?
You can sign up with an email and password, or use "Continue with Google" or "Continue with GitHub". Start free.
How much does it cost?
The Fast test (Chrome and Android) is free. The Quick in-depth test adds iPhone and Safari, and the Full in-depth test checks all 7 browsers. In-depth tests are priced by site size, starting at 99¢ for Quick and $5 for Full, so a small site costs less than a big one. You are only charged when a test finishes, and care plans include in-depth tests.
What is in the report?
An overall score, every issue grouped by how serious it is, screenshots with the problem circled, the exact page and place it happens, why it happens, and what to do to fix it. You also get a link you can share with whoever built the site.
Can I share a report?
Yes. Each report has a shareable link you can turn on, so you can send it to a developer or teammate to settle "is it fixed?".
Does it work for both websites and web apps?
Yes. LaunchProof works for ordinary websites and for web apps.
My test did not finish, or something looks wrong. What do I do?
Try running it again first. If it still does not work, send us a message with the web address you were testing and we will look into it.
